FB (Free Bet) - Footbal Strategy

Back Over 2.5 goals with 5-10% stake at best available price at KO.

The FB (Free Bet) strategy is a great little strategy which enables you to capitalise on the ebb and flow of the prices in the Under/Over goal markets. However, you'll only be able to use this strategy effectively if you're using trading software such as Bet Angel because you need the ladders & graphs it provides to show you when the prices are holding & when they're about to move again.

This strategy can technically be used at any point during a match when the prices stalls and holds or moves very slowly but the most common time we can utilise it is straight from the kick off. The Over 2.5 price will often hold at or very close to its BSP for anything around 3-5mins into a match depending on how open the game starts and even more so if there are a few shots on goal. The more goalmouth action there is at the start of a match the better because people will continue to back Over 2.5 goals, holding the price where it is for a vital few minutes. If a goal is scored while you're open with FB, you'll obviously be in a great position to profit from the trade and with the vast majority of the game still to be played. Plenty of time for the two more goals that you need for a full win and to reduce the liability in the meantime.

If there's no goal in the first few minutes, you can exit the market just a handful of ticks higher than your entry price for a tiny loss. When you exit the trade is really up to when the market starts moving against you or when you feel comfortable. It's not technically, a totally free bet unless you get out at scratch but the match would have to start with several good efforts on goal and sustained attacking play for a totally free bet to last more than a minute or two. Last nights Manchester derby started quite lively and with a few half chances, when this kind of start is coupled with the large liquidity we see in the markets for big games an FB trade can easily last 6mins or more. The longest I've seen is 11mins but around 3-5mins is more likely and please be aware that the market will stall around the whole prices such at 3.00 and 2.00 so you can often squeeze out a few more seconds in FB if it coincides with the price hitting these levels. Also, I'd recommend staying a a few seconds longer if a team has a free kick or corner which could result on an attempt on goal. It might be worth an extra few ticks to see if a goal comes while you're still open with the trade.
